Unfortunately she did not plan anything or have insurance. The cost was $13,000.00 and Her headstone was an additional $3,000.00. The cost has fallen on myself and my siblings. Death is never something we want to plan for, but I do recommend insurance coverage so those left behind do not have to bear these costs. It is hard enough to lose a loved one, and then to be straddled with an enormous price tag. My family and I recently had to plan for our mother’s funeral.
