Credit Card Debt Payoff Plan

As we approach retirement, one thing on the list should be paying off as much unsecured credit debt as possible. If retirement means living on a fixed income, we certainly do not want to be spending hundreds of dollars every month servicing old debt and paying high interest rates. But many people wonder how to pay off credit card debt. We need a good debt replayment plan.

I enjoyed a post on Woman Work because it points out that debt cures are usually not magic, and if one looks to good to be true, well… you know what your Mom would have told you! It likens a good credit card repayment plan to a healthy diet, which I thought was interesting.

After you read the post, I’d certainly appreciate your comments on debt repayment plans.
