Red Warning Flags on dating profiles:
1. He states his age as sixty but is interested in women “25 to 50” and he checks “wants children”.
Red Flag: If you are closer to fifty than twenty-five, don’t bother with this man because he wants a much younger woman.
2. She’s checked “it’s complicated” when listing her marital status.
Red Flag: If you are looking for a healthy and perhaps long term relationship, someone unable to pick a definitive marital status is not good relationship material.
3. He claims to own a” sucessful , internashonel, elektronik parts compeny”, and have a “Phd in ekonomiks.”
Red Flag: If someone who can’t pass a 6th grade spelling test probably doesn’t have a PhD or an international company.
4. She lists her children as “ages 19, 21, 24, and 27” and has checked “more than three live at home”.
Red Flag: When adult children aren’t able to “take flight” your relationship may be very crowded.
5. He states his current age as fifty, and he looks fifty in his picture with his teenage son and daughter. However, upon closer inspection you realize his daughter is wearing a back street boys’ tee shirt, and his son has a mullet.
Red Flag: Back Street Boys and mullet haircuts were popular in the 1980’s and 1990’s therefore this picture is most likely at least twenty years old, making his current age at least seventy.
6. He uses a profile name such as erictill, tryhardisez, luvjakdanls, fiberguy, (actual profiles names).
Red Flag: The profile name is an initial presentation of self. He’s telling you who he is and what he wants.
7. If she uses a profile name such as: t_and_a, nomorejerks, luv2luv, bigbbs, (actual profile names).
Red Flag: The profile name is an online, initial presentation of self.TMI (too much information). She’s telling you who she is and what she wants.
